Vídeň (Wien): Velkolepost habsburské renesance v Albertině (Kaiser Maximilian I. und die Kunst der Dürer-Zeit)

Anotace:

Vídeňská Albertina, oblíbené místo českých turistů, potěší na podzim všechny zájemce o pozdní gotiku a ranou renesanci. Od 14. září tu bude k vidění velkolepě připravená výstava o umění na dvoře císaře Maxmiliána I., který byl fascinující osobností přelomu 15. a 16. století, a současníci v něm viděli posledního rytíře středověku i prvního velkého vládce nové renesanční doby. Habsburský panovník se rád obklopoval umělci a velmi si potrpěl na osobní i rodovou mediální prezentaci.

Výstava v centru Vídně tak nabídne poklady mnoha renesančních grafiků, sochařů a malířů. Je to jakési volné pokračování současné jagellonské výstavy v Kutné Hoře. Maxmilián dělal vše pro to, aby sňatkovou politikou vzájemně propojil Jagellonce a Habsburky. Prakticky stejní umělci pracovali současně pro obě vlivné rodiny.

Hlavními postavami vídeňské výstavy jsou Albrecht Dürer, Albrecht Altdorfer, Hans Burgkmair a Bernhard Strigel, největší atrakcí pak bude vystavení 100 metrů dlouhého obrazového cyklu, který představuje v grafické podobě triumfální pochod Maxmiliána I. Speciální instalace v Albertině umožní, aby si diváci mohli důkladně prohlédnout tuto zcela unikátní památku, která byla nedávno náročně restaurována.

Výstava bude otevřena do 6. ledna 2013.

EMPEROR MAXIMILIAN I AND THE AGE OF DÜRER

Albertina: 14 September 2012 - 6 January 2013

Many of the most important works created for the propaganda and in memory of Maximilian I are preserved in the Albertina. These include works of Albrecht Dürer, but also the extraordinary Triumphal Procession of Albrecht Altdorfer and his workshop, which will form the core of the exhibit. Of the original 109 large-sized parchment sheets with flamboyantly colourful representations of riders, magnificent chariots and landsknechts, sheets 49 to 109 are preseved in the Albertina and, compiled as a frieze, amount to a length of more than 54 metres. In addition to this unique work, other important imperial commissions are presented, such as the monumental woodcut Arch of Honor and the book projects Theuerdank, Weisskunig and Freydal, which are very closely intertwined with one another in terms of form and ideas. Emperor Maximilian I has been called the "Last Knight" since the 19 th century, although he stood at the beginning of a Europe-wide renaissance of chivalry represented in the form of magnificent tournaments and armaments. In addition to many other themes, the exhibition presents this illustrious aspect of the art from the time of Maximilian with numerous examples from the internal collection, complemented by important loans from international museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art New York, the Berlin Kupferstichkabinett (Museum of Prints and Drawings) and the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Art History) Vienna.
